Joan Kay-Johnson, MA, LPC
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults overcome a variety of life challenges in a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment. I have successfully helped individuals work through a multitude of issues and challenges including depression, anxiety, sexuality, trauma, relationships, parenting, social skills, and self-discovery. I currently work with adolescents ages 15 and older through older adulthood. Rather than using a “psychological band aid,” I will help you find the underlying source of your challenges and help you effectively resolve the residual negative issues that you want to change. I use an eclectic, creative, and solution-focused approach to find solutions that are right for you. I apply philosophies and techniques from a variety of theories including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Adlerian.
